The benefits of a Tripod

Tripod is probably the most essential part of a camera accessory. They help to stabilise the camera when you need to take those long shorts. It is essential for any photographic situations. One major use of a tripod is for taking those long night shots. Night shots require longer shutter speed times and permit more light into the camera. If taking a photo from long shutter without the tripod it will become blurred and make not get a clear picture. A tripod comes in handy in certain situations. For example, to take a photograph of a waterfall and to get the smooth effect of the water, you need to take a long shot which can be achieved using a tripod. A tripod helps to frame up the scene by allowing the timer to set and then take the snap.

Standard landscape shots also can benefit from tripod stability. Tripod enables to use a remote shutter release. The camera remains still which helps to take an extremely sharp image. Monopods on the other hand are lighter than tripods. They are easier to carry around. Tripods are heavier compared to monopods. The tripod stabilizes the camera and because it is heavier it cannot be carried around that easily. But to take any picture in static situations such as macro photography or photo shoots in a studio, or posed portraits a tripod is a must. Both tripod and monopods are available in all leading camera outlets. You can choose a tripod according to your requirements.
