Drakensang: The Dark Eye Review

This is a slightly complicated and certainly engaging game from the NIS America. You are in the bad side and you need to dig, dig, and dig more.

The story is set in a dungeon with a good supply of mud and dirt. You are Badman and your task is to protect the dungeon from the onslaught of the good force and the noble heroes. To do this you have to run against the time meter, make a protectable dungeon, put the overlord in a safe place, and prepare a monstrous army capable of resisting the advances of the heroes. And this, we assure you, is not easy. You will not only have to master the technique of digging at right places but also dig the food chain of the monsters.

In the basic level, there are those green slimy blobs that act as walking manure and develop different nutrient rich sections. Now from these sections will arrive the bigger creatures. The bigger monsters are better in protecting the dungeon; but you will need to keep in mind that these bigger monsters feed on their so-called junior monsters. And therefore the sudden increase of any one kind of monster can spell doom for you. Phew!

Thus the need for understanding the food pyramid of the monsters. We would strongly advise you to play the tutorial first to get a hang this game.
Some over-the-top lines, medieval feeling music and some amount of depth makes this game worth the wait.
