The latest addition to the Football game franchise by EA is Madden NFL 10. The game which bears the name of retired Football player John Madden will be released on August 14 for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Sony PSP, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii platforms. The console-exclusive game is rated as E for Everyone by the ESRB. The football series has seen many great games till now. This one from EA has a striking difference in the pace of gameplay. The tempo feels slightly measured, which is intentional as the developers describe it. The developers explained that the game was about 5% slower at the default difficulty level to increase the players’ involvement and even allows them to check their moves and make an extra play or two.
EA unveiled the game at the pre-E3 press conference. The latest news about the game is that EA have announced third wave of the game details. This time, EA revealed team’s overall ratings and individual ratings. The focus was maintained on the NFC West Division.
The game features some new or improved features like the “fight for the fumble” and “Madden moment” replay which replicated great real-life moments in Football. The new Pro-Tak technology plays an important role in dramatising tackles and creating a functional pocket for the passer. Other improvements include realistic on-field refs and more active sidelines. The slider is making a comeback after last year’s absence and has some new sliders included to improve your Madden experience.
